Advocacy refers to both the set of technical skills and practices needed to effectively press for change, and to the very foundation of active citizenship. Identifying priorities, stepping forward, taking action, and achieving results are critical steps to finding one’s voice, making oneself heard, and shaping one’s future—the essence of democracy. The Advocacy and Leadership Center is dedicated to empowering the advocate in each of us.
